The match between Japan and Uzbekistan, which took place in the semi-final of the U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, has concluded.
The young "White Wolves," who started the match well, took the lead in the 27th minute thanks to a goal scored by Asilbek Aliyev. However, in the final moments of stoppage time in the second half, the Japanese equalized, taking the game to a penalty shootout.
In the "lottery," the representatives of the Land of the Rising Sun prevailed with a score of 3:2 and secured a spot in the tournament final.
For reference, the Uzbekistan youth national team, led by Sergey Chigodaev, had previously qualified for the quarter-finals of this competition and also earned the right to participate in the U-17 World Cup, which will be held in November of this year.
