Erdogan called Netanyahu a "tyrant".
The President of Turkey stated that the Muslim world will teach Netanyahu a "fitting lesson."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the conflict in the Gaza Strip. He made this statement in his address to the nation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, as reported by Anadolu.
Erdogan emphasized that the situation in Gaza is negatively affecting the holiday mood not only of Turkey but of the entire Muslim world.
"I believe that the tyrant known by the name Netanyahu will receive the necessary lesson from the entire Muslim world," the Turkish leader stressed.
It is reported that in October 2025, a ceasefire was reached between Israel and the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip. However, the parties have yet to reach a compromise on the second phase of the agreement.
This phase envisions the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the country controls nearly 60 percent of the Gaza Strip's territory. On May 27, the Israel Defense Forces announced that the leader of Hamas's militant wing had been eliminated a week earlier.
