Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia held a bilateral meeting on issues of combating drug addiction.
The parties reached an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the fight against drug addiction, exchange experience, and improve the qualifications of specialists.

The delegation of Uzbekistan is holding a series of negotiations within the framework of the 35th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, aimed at further intensifying cooperation with international organizations and foreign partner countries in the fight against transnational drug crimes and the illicit trafficking of firearms.

It was reported that, for the first time, a bilateral meeting dedicated to issues of combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs was organized with the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on concluding a bilateral Intergovernmental agreement in the area of combating, exchanging information and experience, developing new projects, as well as organizing training courses and seminars aimed at improving the qualifications of sector employees.
