The US and Iran may sign a peace agreement by the end of this week — Trump
Iran's Fars agency also reported that it is highly likely that Tehran will approve the agreement.

US President Donald Trump announced that a peace agreement between the United States and Iran could be signed as early as the end of this week. Reuters reported this.
Trump emphasized that if the agreement is implemented, international maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz will be restored.
Speaking to journalists at the White House, Trump stated that the parties have reached a significant agreement to end the war. According to the president, the document could be signed in the coming days, possibly by the end of the week.
Iran's Fars news agency also reported that Tehran is highly likely to approve the agreement. However, the Iranian side has not yet given an official response.
Trump stated that the main condition of the agreement is to prevent Iran from possessing nuclear weapons. At the same time, Tehran is demanding the lifting of international sanctions, the return of frozen assets, and recognition of its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Reuters sources, negotiations between Iranian and Western representatives on ceasing hostilities have intensified in recent days. Iranian sources indicated that a political agreement has been reached, but negotiations on certain issues are ongoing.
Trump also noted on his social media page that the upcoming agreement is being supported by high-ranking Iranian leadership, as well as by Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
Following the reports, US stock markets recorded gains, while oil prices fell.
Let us recall that the conflict, which began after the US and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran on February 28, has been ongoing for three months. The war has resulted in thousands of deaths and sharp fluctuations in global energy markets.
