The "Shadow Economy Map" platform is being launched in Uzbekistan.
The platform identifies the risk of hidden turnovers across 22 main sectors of the economy, 85 industries, 14 regions, and 208 districts and cities.

The "Shadow Economy Map" platform, which analyzes the risks of the shadow economy and potential budget losses in Uzbekistan, will be gradually and fully launched. This was announced during a presentation attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that the platform, developed by the Prosecutor General's Office, is currently operating in test mode. It allows for identifying risks of shadow turnover across 22 main sectors of the economy, 85 sub-sectors, 14 regions, and 208 districts and cities.
The information databases of 16 ministries and agencies have been integrated into the platform. Data is processed in real-time and categorized into "green," "yellow," and "red" based on the risk level of regions and sectors. Additionally, the system is designed to automatically detect cases such as operating without a license, concealing actual turnover, or hiding the wage fund.
Tasks for further development of the platform were also set during the presentation. Specifically, it was instructed to integrate over 70 more information systems into it by October 1, and to fully launch the platform by covering all regions and sectors by January 1, 2027.
Furthermore, it was noted during the presentation that the share of the unobserved economy in Uzbekistan has decreased from 35% to 23% over the past two years.
The country aims to halve the size of the shadow economy by 2030, increase official employment to 14 million people, and raise the share of non-cash payments to 75%.
