President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Donald Trump on US Independence Day.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, on the occasion of the US national holiday – Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the country's independence.

 

"I am extremely pleased to convey the most sincere congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the people of multi-ethnic Uzbekistan to you and the friendly American people. Under your bold and energetic leadership, the United States is further enhancing its economic power and influence, playing a crucial role in ensuring global development and security, and rapidly developing practical cooperation ties with all states," the message states.

 

The President emphasized that such positive processes are creating a solid foundation for the comprehensive expansion of relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, and that relations based on mutual respect, trust, and shared interests are being enriched with new content. The message noted that increasing the volume of bilateral trade, jointly implementing investment projects, and deepening cooperation in the fields of critical mineral resources and innovative cooperation are considered priority areas of bilateral relations.

 

Furthermore, interest was expressed in further strengthening dialogue and practical partnership in the security sphere. It was emphasized that expanding joint efforts in combating illegal migration, terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, and other modern threats is of urgent importance.

 

The head of state expressed confidence that cooperation within regional and global formats, primarily the "C5+1" platform, the UN, and other international institutions, will rise to a qualitatively new level with the active support of President Donald Trump. In this regard, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he looks forward with great interest to the meeting scheduled within the framework of the "Group of Twenty" summit to be held in the city of Miami in December of this year.
