In the entrance exams for higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year, the number of applicants who scored less than 56.7 points was 233,935. This equals 37.54 percent of all applicants.
According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as reported, this indicator has decreased compared to previous years. In particular, last year the share of applicants who scored less than 56.7 points was 41 percent, the year before that 43 percent, and the year before that 46 percent.
According to officials, this indicator shows that applicants' average entrance scores and level of knowledge are increasing year by year.
Additionally, it is planned to give applicants the opportunity to choose a sixth educational direction. According to this, they will be able to choose one more educational direction that has vacant places and matches the applicant's set of subjects.
The introduction of this opportunity is scheduled for next week.
