In Uzbekistan, some students can obtain a university diploma in 3 years.

New educational programs integrated with local and foreign universities will be introduced in Uzbekistan. This was announced in a presentation to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

 

The presentation reviewed integrated educational models such as "2+3", "1+2", "2+1", "1+3", "2+2", and "3+1", which ensure continuity between schools, academic lyceums, technical colleges, and higher education.

 

According to this, 9th-grade graduates can study for two years at a school, academic lyceum, or technical college, and then continue for the next three years at a local or foreign partner university. Technical college graduates will be given the opportunity to continue their education at a university under an accelerated program.

 

Furthermore, it is planned to implement integrated educational programs in priority areas such as medicine, energy, art, and agriculture.

 

The International Qualifications and Assessment Center has been tasked with aligning integrated programs with the academic requirements of prestigious TOP-100 universities and developing "1+3" and "2+2" format programs with them.

 

A permanent working group consisting of foreign experts will be established under the Center. It is set to launch at least two educational program centers that will award diplomas from leading foreign universities by the end of 2027.

 

Additionally, the "El-yurt umidi" Foundation's scholarship program will also be adapted to the new system. It will now cover the Integrated Programs Higher School and integrated educational fields at other local higher education institutions.

 

A mechanism will be introduced to cover the costs of studying in the first year or Foundation program at universities in Uzbekistan for young people conditionally admitted to prestigious universities abroad. This will allow them to start their education in Uzbekistan and later continue it at a foreign university.
