What is the main essence of today's updates in the field of education?
Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov explained the content of new reforms in the education system.

The main idea behind President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's merger of the two ministries consists of the following:
– The Ministry of Education and Science must organize the activities of all preschool, school, vocational, and higher education institutions and be responsible for their operational processes, establish requirements for educational activities, and engage in accreditation and licensing;
– The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education must serve as a unique laboratory that develops curricula, manuals, and methodological materials, implements them in practice, monitors their results, and continuously improves them based on identified shortcomings. This work will be carried out based on the "portrait of an Uzbek school graduate" defined by the President;
– The Presidential Administration and a special working group to be established under it will develop the structure of the new ministry, review work processes, prepare proposals for their improvement, and define the overall strategy of the reform;
– State interference in higher education must be sharply reduced, the independence of universities expanded, and opportunities created for the private sector, while free competition and market demand must determine which university provides quality education.
