By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation were reorganized as the unified Ministry of Education and Science reorganized.

 

The main goal of this reform is to organize an integrated system of education, upbringing, and science in the country based on modern requirements, to improve the quality and effectiveness of education, and to elevate the work on developing human capital to a new level.

 

Furthermore, it is envisaged to ensure mutual continuity and coherence among all types of education, to introduce a unified effective management system covering all stages from preschool education to higher education as well as scientific activity, and to increase its accountability to the public.

The scoring system on the national certificate will be revised.

This is due to the fact that the number of applicants submitting documents to higher education institutions (HEIs) via certificate is increasing year by year.

A total of 87 ministries, agencies, state bodies, departments, associations, and large enterprises are included in the approved list.

In Uzbekistan, some students can obtain a university diploma in 3 years.

9th grade graduates will be able to study for two years at a school, academic lyceum, or technical school, and then continue the next three years at a local or foreign partner higher education institution.

Applicants with a B1 certificate will receive 75 percent of the maximum score in the foreign language subject.

According to the new regulation, bonuses have been established for pedagogues who hold a number of certificates.
