A World Summit dedicated to children's well-being will be held in Samarkand.
The impact of global issues on children's lives is discussed at the summit.
On October 21–22, 2026, a Global Summit on the theme “Investing in Children's Well-being: Towards a Sustainable and Equitable Future for Generations to Come” will be held in the city of Samarkand.
The event is expected to bring together political leaders, ministers, international organizations and experts, the business community, civil society, academic circles, as well as children and adolescents from more than 100 countries.
At the summit, the impact of global challenges such as conflicts, climate change, economic instability, and social inequality on children's lives will be discussed.
The agenda of the event will include issues of developing a social protection system that serves the interests of children, protecting children and providing them with comprehensive support, building a sustainable and accessible healthcare system, combating childhood cancer, early childhood development, and strengthening cooperation on inclusive education.
Within the framework of the summit, the holding of the II International Congress on Pediatric Oncology is also planned.
At the conclusion of the event, the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration on Investing in Children's Well-being is envisaged. The document will be aimed at concrete measures to ensure the interests of children and strengthening international cooperation.
