Erkinjon Turdimov was given another authority: the ministry may hire employees based on an interview
By presidential decree, new activities and structures will be established in the Ministry of Education and Science.
The Minister of Education and Science Erkinjon Turdimov has been granted the authority until February 1, 2027, to hire employees of the ministry's central apparatus directly on the basis of interviews. This is stipulated in the President's resolution "On measures to organize the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science," signed on October 19.
According to the resolution, the Ministry of Education and Science is the authorized republican executive body in the field of education, science, and scientific activity.
Two activities will be established on an outsourcing basis within the ministry's operations. In particular, a "Call-center" will be set up to receive appeals, complaints, suggestions, and objections from the public, review them promptly, and forward them to the relevant organizations.
Additionally, a feedback system will be introduced to maintain regular communication with the public and employees of the education and science system, to promptly obtain and analyze information about the quality and accessibility of educational services and existing problems.
A Public Council on Education, consisting of representatives of learners, students, parents, educators, and employers, will be established under the Minister.
The Ministry's Board will consist of 15 members formed from the Minister, his deputies, directors of agencies under the ministry, rectors of leading higher education institutions, scientists, and educators.
The resolution also defines a number of organizational measures aimed at developing human capital and improving the education system. According to it:
- A special working group will be established under the Presidential Administration to develop a strategy for human capital development and continuous education;
- A Human Capital Development Fund will be created under the ministry;
- A Center for Strategic Research and Assessment in Education and Science will be established under the ministry;
- The Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills will be organized under the Ministry of Education and Science;
- The activities of the Center for Education Development under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education will be terminated.
