The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan was officially opened in Seattle, USA. This was announced by Komil Allamjonov, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan engaged on a contractual basis and the representative of the Presidential Administration in the USA, as reported.
Allamjonov noted that this is the country's first consular institution in the Pacific Northwest region, and its opening is an important step toward further developing relations between Uzbekistan and the USA.
The new Consulate General will serve to further strengthen trade, investment, technology, education, and people-to-people ties.
