Since 2023, nearly 9,000 people have been killed in Israel's attacks on Lebanon.

According to data from Lebanese health authorities, the number of those killed in Israel's attacks on Lebanon over the past three years has exceeded 8,900, while the number of wounded has reached nearly 30,600. Al Jazeera reported on this.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that between October 2023 and September 2026, 8,920 people were killed and 30,595 wounded as a result of Israeli attacks.

These figures include 4,358 people killed and 12,359 wounded recorded since March 2.

The report released by the Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday also noted that since March 2, there have been 179 Israeli attacks on emergency medical teams, in which 135 medical personnel were killed.

This date coincides with Israel's latest escalation of its war against Lebanon. On that day, after "Hezbollah" fired rockets at northern Israel, an Israeli strike on Beirut killed 31 people.

According to the UN refugee agency — UNHCR, in August, 360,000 people in Lebanon were forced to leave their homes due to the Israeli threat. At least 22,000 of them were living in collective shelters.

This information was released at a time when Israeli violence in southern Lebanon is intensifying, despite the bilateral "peace" agreement brokered by the United States and signed in June.

On Friday, an Israeli airstrike on the Kfar Rumman area in southern Lebanon killed three people and wounded 23 others.

Additionally, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli forces targeted seven populated areas in the Tyre and Nabatieh districts with airstrikes and artillery fire. No information on casualties was provided.

Early on Sunday morning, Israeli military aircraft struck the Zawtar ash-Sharqiya area in southern Lebanon.
