Direct flights from Tashkent to Mauritius will be launched.

From December 26, 2026, direct flights will be launched for the first time on the Tashkent — Mauritius route. Initially, a total of four flights are planned for December and January. This was announced during a bilateral meeting with the participation of tourism entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Mauritius.

The event was organized on the initiative of the "Prestige Travel" company in cooperation with the Tourism Committee. Representatives of Mauritian tourism companies and hotel brands, as well as Uzbek tour operators, participated in it.

From June 2027, regular flights are planned to be operated once a week on the Tashkent — Mauritius route.

The new route aims to enhance Tashkent's potential as a transit hub directing passengers from Central Asia and CIS countries to Mauritius. In particular, opportunities will be created for citizens of Kazakhstan, Russia, and other CIS countries to travel to Mauritius via Tashkent.

Under the program, airlines opening new routes are provided with a $100 subsidy for each attracted foreign tourist and a 20 percent discount on airport services, while local tour operators are allocated a $5,000 subsidy for every 1,000 tourists attracted from distant foreign countries.
