The Uzbekistan U-23 national football team defeated Kuwait 2:0 in their second match at the Asian Games, securing an early spot in the quarterfinals.

 

In the match against Kuwait, Sardor Bahromov scored in the 6th and 36th minutes, recording a brace.

 

At the start of the second half, in the 48th minute, Ro'ziboy Fayzullayev received a red card. After that, Uzbekistan played with one man down. However, the team kept their goal intact.

 

Thus, Ravshan Haydarov's charges accumulated 6 points after two rounds and managed to advance from the group early.

 

The team will play their final group stage match against Vietnam on September 22.

 

As a note, the quarterfinals will be held on September 25. If Uzbekistan finishes the group in first place, they will face the runner-up of Group "D".
