Development of the film industry: two new structures will be established in the sector
A cooperation program will be developed on the extensive use of artificial intelligence capabilities in filmmaking.

New initiatives aimed at developing film studies, professional criticism, and the national film industry have been put forward in Uzbekistan. In particular, the establishment of a Film Critics Club and a Chamber of Representatives of Uzbekistan's Film Sector, as well as the use of artificial intelligence capabilities in film production, are being planned.
The activities of the new Film Critics Club will be supported by the "O'zbekfilm" national film company. Assistance will also be provided for the club to become a member of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI). This is expected to serve to expand the participation of national films in prestigious international festivals.
Furthermore, a Chamber of Representatives of Uzbekistan's Film Sector will be established by merging the Unions of Film Workers of Uzbekistan and Representatives of Uzbekistan's Film Industry. The Chamber will be engaged in protecting the copyrights and professional interests of creators, developing self-governance in the sector, and assisting the professional growth of young specialists.
Advanced training of young filmmakers abroad and financial-organizational support for the activities of the new chamber have also been designated. The completion of the work on organizing the chamber's activities has been assigned within a one-month period.
Artificial intelligence will be used in film production
In order to bring the national film industry to a new stage of technological development, a cooperation program will be developed on the widespread use of artificial intelligence capabilities in filmmaking. The document is planned to be prepared within one month.
The program also envisages issues of developing new educational programs, training specialists, and enhancing their qualifications abroad.
"O'zbekfilm" will be turned into a single national brand
Additionally, it was proposed to consolidate the name "O'zbekfilm" as the single brand of the national film industry. In particular, it was noted that part of the Chilanzar area has long been known among the people by the name "O'zbekfilm," and an initiative was put forward to give this name to the relevant part of the current Chilanzar street.
Furthermore, it was proposed to rename the Museum of Cinematic Art as the "O'zbekfilm" Museum, the Palace of Cinematic Art as the "O'zbekfilm" Cinema Palace, and the National Film Fund as the "O'zbekfilm" National Film Fund. It is intended to unite these institutions under a single brand.
At the conclusion of the open dialogue, it was announced that important directions for the development of national cinema had been identified and a decree incorporating the proposed changes had been signed.
The President emphasized that the initiatives of creators will be supported, and noted the importance of honest work, patriotism, and creating with love for the people, along with conditions for producing quality films.
