The leaders of Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed the situation in the Middle East.
During the conversation, the importance of maintaining peace in the region and resolving conflicts through diplomatic means was emphasized.

On March 4, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The parties noted with deep concern the recent sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East region and the intensification of conflicts and contradictions.
It was emphasized that such unpleasant developments occurring during the holy month of Ramadan contradict the principles of international law and that any actions threatening peace and stability must be stopped immediately.
The Head of State stated that in these complex times, Uzbekistan stands united and in solidarity with the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates, its strategic partner and close ally.
He expressed special gratitude for the practical assistance being provided to Uzbek citizens currently in that country and for the measures being taken to return them to their Homeland.
In turn, the leader of the Emirates expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his sincere support, fraternal respect, and spirit of solidarity shown during these trying times.
