At the beginning of the conversation, the head of state strongly condemned the attacks carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Azerbaijan and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
It was separately noted that the escalation of tensions observed in the Middle East region in recent days is leading to the loss of many innocent civilians and causing serious concern.
It was emphasized that such events occurring during the blessed month of Ramadan contradict universal human values, international norms, and the principles of territorial integrity of states.
The leader of Uzbekistan expressed gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for the measures being taken and the conditions being created for the safe evacuation of Uzbek citizens from Iran through the territory of Azerbaijan.
The President of Azerbaijan, in turn, expressed special thanks to the leader of Uzbekistan for the friendly conversation and the supportive stance shown during these trying times.
