The US, China, and Russia are now standing against Europe — Macron
The President of France called on European countries to more firmly defend their interests and pursue a more active policy.

French President Emmanuel Macron has called on European countries to more firmly defend their interests and pursue a more active policy. This is reported by Point.md here.
The French leader stated that in the current geopolitical situation, the US, China, and Russia hold a complex position toward Europe.
It is noted that Macron made this statement during a discussion with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens. According to Macron, the current situation is a "wake-up call" for Europe.
"The leaders of the US, Russia, and China are taking an opposing stance toward Europe. Therefore, Europe must reconsider its policy," he said.
Macron called on European countries to increase self-confidence and shape an independent political agenda.
In his view, tensions in relations with the US will persist even after Donald Trump's presidential term ends.
"This is not temporary, but a long-term trend. Cooperation may continue in some areas, but the overall approach will not change," Macron said.
The French president noted that Trump's first term was perceived in Europe as a temporary situation, but now this view has changed. According to him, European countries must now unite and actively defend their interests.
It is reported that Macron visited Athens after an informal meeting of the European Council in Cyprus. Greece and France plan to renew a bilateral security agreement in the coming days.
