Preparations have begun for the funeral ceremony of Ali Khamenei in Iran.
The date of the ceremony, which was postponed for several months due to the war, has not yet been announced.

The Iranian government has begun preparations for a "grand" funeral ceremony for the slain Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to Al-Arabiya, state television reported this, citing Mohsen Mahmoudi, head of the Tehran Coordination Council for Islamic Propagation, as reported.
According to Mahmoudi, a special headquarters has been established to organize the funeral ceremony, and various government agencies are currently involved in planning the ceremony and coordinating organizational matters. The exact date of the ceremony has not yet been announced.
Ali Khamenei had led the Islamic Republic of Iran for over 30 years. He was killed on February 28 in the first wave of strikes carried out by the US and Israel, which sparked the start of the war.
During the attacks, his son and successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, was also wounded. He has not made any public appearances since assuming the position of Supreme Leader.
Although a separate event dedicated to the memory of Ali Khamenei was held in April, the originally planned state funeral was not conducted due to the war.
According to state television, various organizations are currently working to create the necessary conditions for organizing the ceremony at a high level. Once an official announcement is made, the ceremony is expected to be held on a large scale with the participation of many citizens.
Earlier, it was reported that a preliminary agreement had been reached to extend the existing truce between the US and Iran for another 60 days and to begin negotiations for a complete end to the war.
