On June 10, 2026, the Uzbekistan national team arrived in Atlanta, USA, which will serve as their base camp during the World Cup. Team head coach Fabio Cannavaro emphasized that participating in the World Cup holds special significance for every player.
"Participating in the World Cup is one of the greatest dreams of every footballer. We will give our all on the field, fighting until the last second in every match. Our goal is not only to achieve a good result but also to ensure that all Uzbek people, no matter where they are in the world, are proud of us," said Cannavaro.
For reference, the Uzbekistan national team will play their first match of the World Cup on June 18 against the Colombia national team.
