MB Uzbekistan will issue gold and silver coins in connection with the national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan will issue special commemorative coins in circulation in honor of the national team's first qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

According to the press service of the Central Bank, the 2026 World Cup qualification is being assessed as one of the most significant events in the country's sports history. To immortalize this achievement in history, commemorative coins have been minted from 999.9 fine gold and silver.

It is noted that 100 gold coins weighing 31.1 grams and 1,000 silver coins have been produced in limited quantities. The commemorative coins will go on sale starting June 18 at 690 commercial bank branches across the republic.

Updated information on the sale price of the coins and their availability in banks will be regularly published on the official platforms of the Central Bank.

It is reported that the obverse side of the coins features the logo of the Uzbekistan Football Association, an image of a football, and the inscription "Historic Victory. Uzbekistan Football at the World Championship — 2026." Additionally, it includes the inscription "Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and a face value of 100,000 soums.

According to the concept, these elements symbolically represent the national team's first qualification for the World Championship and the opening of a new chapter in the history of Uzbekistan football.

The coin design also features the symbol of the national team, known among fans as the "White Wolves." It is noted that the wolf silhouette on the reverse side represents the players' courage, team spirit, and resilience.

Additionally, the design incorporates patterns from the national team's uniforms. According to the Central Bank, these patterns are inspired by the ornaments of historical monuments, reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage and glorious history.

A special box resembling a football field has also been designed for the commemorative coins. The coin is placed in the central part of the box.

The Central Bank emphasized that these coins have high artistic and collectible value and are issued in limited quantities.
