The official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus has concluded. At the capital's airport, the high-ranking guest was seen off by the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

In Minsk, negotiations were held between the heads of state in a narrow format and with the participation of official delegations. The leaders emphasized the importance of further developing political dialogue and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation. The firm commitment to long-term development of multifaceted partnership was confirmed, and new project initiatives in priority areas were reviewed.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the Presidents signed a declaration on establishing strategic partnership relations. A ceremony of exchanging bilateral documents also took place in their presence.

In statements for media representatives, it was noted with satisfaction that this official visit is a historic event in the development of Uzbekistan-Belarus relations and marks the beginning of a new stage in strengthening cooperation between the countries.

After the conclusion of the official visit events, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Tashkent.
