Instructions have been sent to local authorities to ensure the safety of landscaping workers during abnormal heat.

The State Labor Inspectorate has sent a special directive to all municipalities in order to protect the life and health of landscaping workers working outdoors in anomalously hot weather conditions submitted.

According to the directive, during high air temperatures from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, outdoor work that may pose a risk to the life and health of employees should be temporarily suspended, and a flexible work schedule should be implemented.

Additionally, employers have been instructed to provide employees with a sufficient amount of quality drinking water, organize rest areas protected from sunlight and high temperatures, equip them with personal protective equipment, and review the work and rest schedule.

Furthermore, it is required not to engage individuals who have not undergone mandatory medical examinations or have been deemed unfit for work based on medical conclusions, and to provide immediate first aid to employees whose health deteriorates due to high temperatures.

The State Labor Inspectorate announced that the implementation of these directives has been placed under monitoring. It was noted that individuals who violate labor protection requirements will be held accountable in accordance with current legislation.
