President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in Seoul on a state visit.

 

 

A solemn welcoming ceremony for the high-ranking guests was held at the air base of the Republic of Korea Air Force in Seoul. An honor guard was lined up in honor of the head of state, and artillery pieces fired a salute.

 

 

The President of Uzbekistan was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yun Cheol and other officials.

 

 

Within the framework of the three-day visit, negotiations with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung in a narrow and expanded format, meetings with National Assembly Speaker Cho Jung Sik, Prime Minister Han Duck Soo, heads of major Korean companies and financial institutions, as well as with compatriots residing in this country, are planned.

 

 

In addition, the head of state will deliver a speech at the opening of the Uzbekistan – Korea business forum.

 

 

On September 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the first “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” summit.

 

 

Along with events on the political and economic agenda of the visit, Days of Uzbek Culture will be held in the Korean capital and other cities.
