In 2025, infectious diseases in Kyrgyzstan increased by 36.3 percent.
The most reported cases are syphilis, intestinal infections, and influenza.

An increase in the incidence of syphilis, brucellosis, and influenza was recorded in Kyrgyzstan in 2025. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Health and Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ryspek Sidigaliev, says the 24.kg publication.
According to him, by the end of 2025, a total of 491,516 cases of infectious diseases were registered in the republic, which is 36.3 percent more than the 360,536 cases in 2024. Acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza account for 81.9 percent of infectious diseases.
Diseases with a decrease in incidence:
- salmonellosis decreased by 1.6 times,
- acute enteroviral hepatitis decreased by 2.5 times,
- acute hemocontact viral hepatitis decreased by 29.6 percent,
- tuberculosis decreased by 2.9 percent,
- meningitis decreased by 18.2 percent,
- measles decreased by 1.6 times,
- rubella decreased by 33 percent.
Also, the incidence of acute intestinal infections increased by 15.2 percent, brucellosis by 1.3 percent, and ARVI and influenza by 1.5 times. The total number of people infected with HIV increased by 8.2 percent, and syphilis increased by 2.1 percent.
Sidigaliev added that in 2025, 6 cases of anthrax, 5 cases of malaria, 3 cases of hepatitis E, and 1 case of whooping cough were recorded.
