President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Surkhandarya.
The head of state began his visit by paying respects at the mausoleum of Hakim Termizi.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Surkhandarya region on February 26. In accordance with tradition, the Head of State began his trip by visiting the mausoleum of the great scholar Hakim Termizi in the city of Termez.
During the visit, verses from the Quran were recited, and prayers were offered for peace, tranquility, and prosperity for our country and people. Following this, a sincere conversation took place with religious scholars.
During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the issues of deeply studying the rich spiritual and educational legacy of the great thinker Hakim Termizi, who made a significant contribution to the development of the Islamic religion, and widely promoting it among our compatriots and the international community.
Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the lofty virtues of our sacred religion, such as goodness, humanism, and compassion, and the importance of preserving and developing our national values. Based on this, it was noted that it is necessary to educate the younger generation in the spirit of noble ideas and further strengthen feelings of love and loyalty to the Motherland in their hearts.
In recent years, this blessed sanctuary has been renovated and transformed into an even more prosperous and beautiful complex, with all necessary conditions created for visitors. The area has been extensively landscaped, and significant construction and renovation works have been carried out at the mausoleum. In particular, modern lighting, heating, and cooling systems have been installed.
To create a comfortable microclimate in the complex, over four thousand perennial ornamental trees of nearly 40 species and more than twenty thousand seasonal flowers have been planted.
Relevant officials were given instructions regarding maintaining the complex of the thinker, who authored numerous works in fields of Islamic sciences such as tafsir, hadith, fiqh, kalam, Islamic philosophy, history of Sufism, and Sufi views, in a well-kept state and further expanding conveniences for visitors.
