Up to 600,000 soums in assistance will be allocated to needy families who purchased coal from Mycoal.uz.
This assistance is one-time and will be provided to families included in the "Social Register" during June-December 2026.

In order to support families in need of social protection, families included in the "Social Registry" who purchased coal through the Mycoal.uz portal will be allocated a one-time financial assistance of up to 600,000 soums during June–December of this year, as announced.
Additionally, new requirements regarding the quality and environmental safety of imported coal are planned to be introduced. Accordingly, requirements will be developed for the sulfur content, calorific value, and other indicators of coal brought into the republic. The use and sale of imported coal that does not meet the established standards will be prohibited. It is envisaged that in the future, coal imports will only be carried out by rail.
The presentation also provided information on the project for developing the Nishbosh coal mine. The total reserves of the project amount to 233 million tons, with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons. Within the framework of the project, valued at $494 million, it is planned to create 880 new jobs.
Furthermore, it was proposed to build a new thermal power plant with a total capacity of 1.4 gigawatts based on this mine. According to the project, $1.3 billion in investment will be attracted, and 4 power units, each with a capacity of 350 megawatts, will be constructed using ultra-supercritical technologies.
It is expected that 1,500 new jobs will be created during the construction period, and 310 new jobs once the project is fully operational. It was noted that the station will generate an average of 9.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year and will save 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The presentation also discussed issues of localization and development of industrial cooperation in the mining industry. According to analyses, there is potential to increase the import substitution capacity in this area to up to $2.1 billion. It was stated that this can be achieved through the localization of production of machinery, spare parts, chemical reagents, and large aggregates.
In this regard, the task was assigned to develop a localization strategy for the mining industry for 2027–2030. In conclusion, the head of state approved the presented proposals and gave relevant instructions to the responsible officials.
