The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has issued a series of recommendations for citizens planning to travel to the USA, Canada, and Mexico to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as announced here.

According to the ministry's press secretary, Omonulla Fayziyev, it is recommended to thoroughly study the visa and migration requirements of the host countries before the trip, to prepare all necessary documents in a timely manner, and to check their validity periods.

Additionally, fans are asked to keep both electronic and paper copies of their passports and other important documents alongside the originals, and to strictly adhere to local laws and public order regulations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recommended planning travel routes in advance during the trip, using only official transportation and information services, observing personal safety measures in crowded places, and refraining from participating in unauthorized public events.

It is noted that in case of emergencies, lost documents, or other problems, one should contact local emergency services and Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions in the USA.

The ministry called on fans to support the national team worthily and to treat the laws, local traditions, and culture of the host countries with respect. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the World Cup, every Uzbek citizen will be in the spotlight not only as a fan but also as a representative of the country abroad.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that issues of ensuring citizens' safety and protecting their legal interests are under constant control, and it is ready to provide consular and legal assistance when necessary.
