Ukraine struck Wildberries warehouses in Russia, killing eight people.

Two logistics warehouses belonging to Wildberries, located in the city of Tambov and in Elektrostal, Moscow region, Russia, came under attack by Ukrainian drones. According to Russian officials, eight people were killed and 62 were injured as a result of the incident. BBC reported this.

It is reported that seven people were killed and 25 injured in the attack on the warehouse in Tambov. In the strike on the warehouse in Elektrostal, one person died and 37 were injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the strikes targeted "large logistics facilities used for the supply of sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment." He said Ukraine also struck targets in the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea, and Russian-annexed Crimea.

Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim called the incident a "terrible night" for the company. According to Tambov region governor Yevgeny Pervyshov, seven employees working the night shift were killed at the scene. He stated that 28 drones approaching the area were shot down during the attack.

Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov reported that eight of those injured in the attack in Elektrostal are in serious condition. Also, according to him, a total of 48 drones were shot down in the Moscow region overnight, one of which crashed into an oil depot, causing a fire.

Serhiy Kuzan, head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, told the BBC that Wildberries is a crucial link in Russia's logistics system, and that dual-use products and electronic equipment for military needs were purchased through the company's platform. He emphasized that the main goal of the attack was to disrupt the supply chain of the Russian army and defense industry.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine's attacks are a response to Russia's strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian territories. At the same time, it was reported that 14 people were killed in Ukraine overnight into Wednesday as a result of Russian attacks.
