In Tashkent, a security guard who insulted a courier was jailed for 10 days.

A video circulated on social media showing a security guard arguing with a delivery worker, using physical force against him, and insulting him.

 

This case was reviewed in the Yunusabad inter-district court, and the security guard was sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.

 

During the court session, statements from both parties were heard. According to the case materials, the delivery worker went to the specified address to deliver the next order. The guard told the courier to call the customer and ask them to come down to receive the order.

 

According to the delivery worker, the customer came down to receive the order, and during that time, the guard insulted him, took his cap off his head and did not return it, and behaved rudely.

 

The guard, however, stated that the courier violated the building entry rules. According to him, the courier entered along with residents and attempted to enter the building despite warnings. He admitted to insulting the courier during the conflict.

 

The court noted that the courier's duty was to deliver the order to the address, while the guard's duty was to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the building. However, the guard's failure to control the situation and his abuse of authority served as grounds for legal assessment.

 

The court found the guard guilty of committing the offense provided for in Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sentenced him to 10 days of administrative detention.
