Horrific crime in Istanbul: murderers sentenced to life imprisonment

In Istanbul, a court has sentenced two citizens of Uzbekistan who killed D. Hakimova and S. Ergashaliyeva and dismembered their bodies.
The Anadolu 17th Heavy Penal Court sentenced D. Turdimurotov and G. Kamolkhojayev to aggravated life imprisonment twice each. They were also found guilty of theft in the residence by taking advantage of the deaths of the deceased, and were sentenced to 7 years in prison twice for this crime as well.
According to investigation materials, on January 23, 2025, S. Ergashaliyeva was killed with a knife in a house in the Umraniye district of Istanbul. Subsequently, D. Hakimova was also killed in the same house.
Security camera footage recorded the defendants leaving the house several times with black garbage bags and a white suitcase. During the investigation, it was determined that the body parts were thrown into garbage containers in various districts of Istanbul.
In court, G. Kamolkhojayev stated that he killed S. Ergashaliyeva alone and did not kill D. Hakimova. D. Turdimurotov admitted to killing only D. Hakimova due to an "honor issue" and expressed regret for what he had done.
The prosecutor requested that both defendants be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment twice each and 7 years in prison twice each for the crime of theft.
The court panel granted the prosecutor's request and sentenced both defendants to aggravated life imprisonment twice each and 7 years in prison twice each.
