It is noted that these drivers will now be deprived of their driving rights through a court procedure. After that, they will be required to attend mandatory training courses and retake both theoretical and practical exams.

According to the new procedure, the theoretical exam will consist of 50 questions, not the usual 20. To pass the exam, the driver must correctly answer at least 46 questions.

On May 1, the first driver whose penalty points exceeded 12 points was identified. As of May 8, the number of such drivers was 49.

Let us remind you that starting from June 1, 2025, penalty points have been calculated for protocols formalized by road patrol service officers based on 12 articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Also, starting from April 1, 2026, penalty points have been applied for violations detected by automatic violation detection devices. These violations include disobeying a prohibitory traffic signal, violating stopping and parking rules, driving in the oncoming lane, and failing to comply with speed limits.
