Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan signed a treaty on eternal friendship.
At the conclusion of the high-level negotiations, a ceremony was held to sign bilateral documents.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the Treaty on Eternal Friendship and the decision of the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.
In the presence of the heads of state, the following documents were signed:
– Agreement on cooperation in the field of pension provision;
– Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture;
– Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism;
– Program to increase the volume of trade turnover to 1 billion US dollars by 2030;
– Practical action plan for the implementation of agreements reached in the field of investments and trade;
– Cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2027-2028;
– Cooperation program between the Ministries of Justice for 2027-2028;
– Memorandum on exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of cynology;
– Protocols on establishing sister-city relations between Urganch and Khonkendi, Bukhara and Lachin, Urganch and Nakhchivan.
